WHAT CAUSES DIABETES-ITS EARLY SYMPTOMS AND HOW DIABETES REVERSE PACK HELPS

Diabetes is a condition in which your blood sugar or blood glucose, levels are too high. This results in accumulation of glucose in the circulating blood since there is no insulin to transport them into the
cells. Insulin is a hormone that helps transport glucose across the cell membrane into the cells for use as energy. Without insulin, glucose will remain in the blood stream while the cells suffer lack of glucose. Glucose comes from the foods we eat. The condition is chronic and hereditary.

Types of Diabetes
1. Insulin-dependent or juvenile onset diabetes (type 1); This is when there is lack of production of insulin. The treatment is to inject the required insulin into the person as required.
2. Non-insulin dependent or adult onset diabetes (type2); This is an abnormally low insulin production in the body, the more common type. You can also have prediabetes. This means that your blood sugar is higher than normal but not high enough to be called diabetes. Having prediabetes puts you at a higher risk of getting type 2 diabetes. Pregnant women can also get diabetes, called gestational diabetes.

Signs and symptoms of diabetes
1. Polyurea; Excessive urine production
2. Polydipsia; Excessive thirst
3. Weight loss; Inability of cell to metabolize/ use glucose. The glucose cannot pass across to the cell where they are needed through there is excess in circulation. This is suffering when there is plenty.
4. Dehydration; This is excessive loss of body fluid due to excessive passage of urine.
5. Excessive tiredness; especially early stage.

Simply tests that can be conducted at early stage
1. Tests of sugar in urine
2. Urine passed attracts ants or insects
3. Urine for laboratory analysis and also blood for fasting blood sugar (FBS) or random blood sugar (RBS).

Complications
1. Seek medical attention
2. Diabetic coma
3. Wound; wound in diabetes does not heal easily. It sometimes leads to amputation.
4. Over time, having too much glucose in your blood can cause serious problems. It can damage your nerves and even the need to remove a limb.
5. Organ involvement; It can destroy the retina leading to blindness. It can also lead to stroke, kidney and heart failure and poor blood circulation to body extremities.

Management
1. Diet modifications
2. Weight management.
3. Exercise
4. Education and counseling
5. Monitor your blood glucose level and take medicine (supplement are good)
